CARE TEAM
What is Care Team?
A team of volunteers interested in caring for spiritual well-being and walking alongside our most vulnerable neighbors. All while growing in comradery with fellow team members.
Why Does CR Need a Care Team?
We coordinate with our church partners to connect our neighbors to a spiritual community, but there must be a catalyst!
Just as we need skilled tradespeople as volunteers, we need dedicated servant leaders who want to walk alongside our neighbors, meet them where they are spiritually, and be spiritual caregivers who help connect them to their local church and beyond.
What is the Role of a Care Team Member?
Our Care Team Volunteers will come alongside our vulnerable and isolated neighbors to share the Gospel with them, to shine the light on Jesus while bringing joy to other people(Romans 12:6). Not to replace the church, but to lead them to their local church for continued support, fellowship and community in Christ.
Sharing His name and His story with them and participating in their initial stages of faith, you will be that catalyst for the Lord’s love and salvation to reach them. If you have been blessed with the gifts of faith, proclamation, compassion, teaching, self-sacrificing service and/or charity we encourage you to pray about and consider coming alongside these, His children, as they pursue our Lord and Savior! (1 Corinthians 12).
Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. (James 1:17&18).
Could your ‘yes’ to serve be God’s answer to someone else’s prayer?
If God is moving your heart, please complete this SURVEY. We will set up a time to talk and discern what God is doing. Our next training will be hosted at Austin Ridge SouthWest beginning Thursday, July 10th, from 6:30-9:00pm in room 211.
