Ms. Sonia

Ms. Sonia is a wheelchair user for over 20 years who has also endured the profound loss of two husbands and a son.  Volunteers first met her during community prayer walks, and despite life's hardships, Ms Sonia's faith, openness, and joy made it clear that God was already near to her. What then began as a simple CR property cleanup became a divine appointment, and through this beautiful relationship, Ms. Sonia has found family, renewed hope, and a deeper sense of God's presence in her life!

Recently, the CR team had the privilege of blessing this beloved sister-in-Christ with two urgent needs:  a safe, accessible walk-in shower installation and much-needed maintenance of the wheelchair ramps leading into her home.  As skilled hands and willing hearts came together to restore comfort, safety, and dignity to Ms. Sonia' home, it served as a tangible reminder that when the body of Christ steps in, hearts are healed and hope is reborn!
