This team will be serving at Brianna’s house, putting finishing touches on her kitchen and family room, including installing a backsplash, painting, and sealing an exterior door. No skills or experience needed, just a willing and teachable spirit.

This team will be serving at Angela’s house doing outdoor painting of a wheelchair ramp and exit stairs and clean up of her property. No skills or experience required, just a willing and teachable spirit.

Pre-Serve Day 12.7.22
Serve with us in the Hudson Bend area to build a staircase for neighbors A & M who we have previously served. Skillsets in staircase-building are preferred. We will continue this project on the Saturday Serve Day on December 10.

Operation Christmas Lights
A Christmas twist on our typical Serve Days! Join us to deck out the houses of those we’ve served this year with festive Christmas lights! Sign up for one of the three teams, as each team will install lights at two homes that are near each other.
Please note this Serve Day starts at 9am. There are only 4 spots on each team.
A donation of $10 per volunteer is preferred to cover the cost of the Christmas lights needed to bring the twinkling magic of the holidays to these homes. You may donate by clicking here.

We’re teaming up with 12:31, another local nonprofit, to serve the needs of a Hispanic trailer park community in the Spicewood area. We will be doing beautification, landscaping, tree trimming, and trash clean-up, and can use 25 volunteers at this Serve Day!

WHO CAN SERVE
Whether you are ready to serve whatever the need or are an aspiring DIY-er or experienced contractor, we’d love to have you serve with us! All skill levels (or no skills!) are welcome. Our hope is that relationships are formed as you serve alongside other people, and one way that happens is by teaching or learning a skill. Have teenagers that want (or need) to learn how to push a lawnmower? We’ll teach ‘em! Have a project you need to learn drywall for? We do this often and would love to teach you as you serve with us!
WHO WE SUPPORT
Some of our Serve Days support our mission partner organizations, and some of them support individuals in the community - our own neighbors in need of a hand (or a few hands)! You can learn more about why we partner and who our Mission Partners are by clicking here. Serve Days that are currently scheduled are listed below, and will notate which/if they are supporting one of our mission partners.
WHAT WE DO
Serve Days can include a range of projects from yard work and painting to repairing gates, installing appliances, and building wheelchair ramps. With our regularly occurring Serve Days, we don’t always know far in advance what the specific projects will be, but will do our best to update the Serve Day description below as we get more information.
At the start of each Serve Day, the team will gather together for prayer, assignments, and to share about who and why we’re serving. You can take your own breaks to refresh as needed, and water and gatorade are always provided. After you sign up for a Serve Day, you’ll get an email from us closer to the date with more details and the specific address. If you end up not being able to come, please let us know so we can adjust our plans and projects for that day to accommodate the number of people coming.
All volunteers may be asked to complete a background check for the safety of the clients we serve and for protection of our volunteers. All background checks are subject to review and approval by Cornerstone.
