For over a year, CR has been praying for God to provide a way to help Annette, a devoted widow, mother, and grandmother, whose late husband submitted a project request to CR asking for help for his family even as his own health was failing – a final, selfless act of love that has stayed with us ever since. When we visited Annette after his passing, we found a woman of deep faith, pressing through challenge after challenge with a trusting heart, living in a home whose problems would require a mosaic of professional partners, generous donors, faithful volunteers, and persistent prayer to solve. 

We believe God has been faithfully assembling a mosaic of brothers and sisters in Christ guided by the Holy Spirit, and the time has finally come to begin work on Annette’s home!

Before the heavy-duty restoration begins — which will ultimately touch nearly every functional component of the home, including roofing, electrical, plumbing, windows, floors, and both interior and exterior work — we need a day to clear debris, remove vegetation, and prepare the property so the path ahead is unobstructed. Most importantly, this first Serve Day will be a beautiful opportunity for the entire CR team to gather around Annette, pray with her, and remind her that she is deeply loved and that this restoration is a gift sent directly from God!

Diana and her husband are raising two vibrant daughters in a home that should be a place of safety, joy, and stability. Unfortunately, flooring that was improperly installed several years ago has caused significant subfloor damage. Floors throughout their mobile home are now buckling and collapsing, creating dangerous living conditions for the entire family. Our first priority will be their daughter’s bedroom, where the damage is most severe and the floor has become especially unsafe. This is a substantial repair that the family cannot carry on its own, but we trust Christ to provide through His people.

Please pray for Diana and her family, for wisdom as we uncover the full extent of the damage, and for the Lord to provide every volunteer and resource needed. We have a significant need for subfloor sheets, new flooring, fasteners, and other construction materials. Those unable to serve in person can still come alongside this family by donating toward the materials and project expenses. Every gift, regardless of size, helps us create a safer home while demonstrating the compassion of Christ.

CR is no stranger to Ms. Kena, a hard-working widow and cancer survivor.  When she had holes in the floor, water damage, and a cracked tub, CR volunteers stepped in and faithfully walked alongside her to restore safety and peace to her home.  Through that experience and along with help from the CR Care team, Ms. Kena fell in love with the CR mission, its volunteers, and the community, and can now often be found at Bible study enjoying fellowship with other CR ladies!

Ms. Kena has since become a devoted volunteer herself, faithfully using her gifts to serve others – which makes it such a joy to now turn around and bless her once again!  Her property has an abundance of growth (overgrowth!) and is in need of a good yard cleanup. We want to bless her with this cleanup and getting some things done that she just cannot tackle on her own.

Ms. Estela is a grandmother, retired since 2015, who lives with her daughter and granddaughter on a simple, peaceful property in the flood-affected area of Leander.  When recovery started after the July 2025 floods, Ms. Estela unfortunately had several bad experiences with contractors that took advantage of the funds she received for flood assistance.  This left her with several problems that she just simply couldn’t manage on her own.   

The CR team will continue the repairs (exterior siding, flashing, and interior subfloor damage) started in June, to ensure that Ms. Estela’s home is safe from the elements and to prevent any further water intrusion. 

Please prayerfully consider helping this wonderful neighbor in need by volunteering to serve and/or providing donations to assist with the restoration efforts.  Let’s show Ms. Estela what the love of Christ in action can accomplish!

Mr. Lee is a retired veteran, father, grandfather, and follower of Christ that has some health issues and significant needs on his property to restore safety and dignity.  When the flood rains came last year, his home couldn't handle the deluge, and he and family have been displaced ever since. 

Recently, the CR volunteer team built a ramp for him to safely access his trailer and also started a cleanup project around his property.  Mr. Lee and his family saw hope restored where before there was only overwhelming heartache.  

We are going back to finish the general property cleanup and to remind this family that when God mobilizes his body, things that seem big to us are easy for Him!  We will work on debris removal, brush chipping, and cutting back overgrown vegetation and trees.  

Please come out to help this wonderful neighbor in need and brother in Christ - and prayerfully consider donating funds to help with the vast restoration process ahead!

Ms. Kay is an elderly widow and devoted follower of Christ who lives in a tiny home on her family’s property in Manchaca, surrounded by loved ones who share her faith — a family whose story will instantly capture your heart. Health challenges and various difficult circumstances have taken their toll, and Ms. Kay’s tiny home is now in need of some much-needed attention, including leveling the structure, insulating the pipes, and painting the exterior. But beyond the physical work at hand, this is a beautiful opportunity to come alongside this family to demonstrate what it truly means to bear one another's burdens as the body of Christ!

The CR team continues to pray as we step out trusting and knowing that God will make the way for this heart-felt project of turning a vacant piece of the property into a community soccer field at the New World Trailer Park. 

The land is leveled, a boulder retaining wall is in place, landscaping has been done, and it is ready for us to take the next step.  Our faithful volunteer team will be working to prepare the field for artificial turf to be installed by compacting and smoothing the surface.  We'll need plenty of enthusiastic volunteers to help do some raking, shoveling, and spreading! 

Also, please join us in prayer for God to provide funds for the next step of this project - procuring of turf and soccer goals.

Mike & Deb (Georgetown, TX)

Mike & Deb (new neighbors) are a missionary couple that spend long periods of time serving and training pastors in the Philippines.  While stateside, they maintain a travel trailer in Georgetown to call home. When the central TX-style rains come, there is water that pours down onto one of their doors and into their trailer, requiring a few creative and ingenious hands to find a proper solution. There are also a few other maintenance projects to be completed.  What better way to support a missionary couple and show them the love of the body of Christ, than for them to come home to the comfort of a sound home, and a few less things to fix!

Ms. Sonia (Dripping Springs, TX)

Ms. Sonia is an elderly, disabled widow in Dripping Springs that has felt the love of CR before.  A wheelchair user for over twenty (20) years due to an accident, she has carried both physical limitations and the deep aches of loss from having endured the passing of two husbands and her son.  CR volunteers have come to know and love this sister-in-Christ and have previously helped with extensive cleanup on her property, installation of an accessible shower, and some wood staining to protect her wheelchair ramp.  Several volunteers that have kept up with Ms. Sonia and her sister, Sylvia, found out that she needed a toilet installed and have been asking when we're going back.  Well, here's your chance!  We are going to finish up the staining on her main wheelchair ramp and also install the new accessible toilet that will be much safer for her to use.

Ms. Paula, a hard-working single mother who raised her children and continued working into retirement just to make ends meet, lived in a home in Burnet, TX that looked cute and loved from the outside but was quietly falling apart, with holes in the walls, broken plumbing, rotting siding, and electrical outlets sparking fires simply from being used. Through more than 25 Serve Days over an 8-month period, numerous CR volunteers answered prayers with diligent hands, rebuilding Ms. Paula's home and making it safe again for her, her children, and her grandchildren! However, God's work didn't stop there, neighbors in her community also began to take notice, and HIS transformation is now rippling outward!

Reflecting on all of the big projects that so many volunteers poured their hearts into at Ms. Paula's, the CR team wants to go back and work on a punch list of a few odds and ends to finish up.  We also just want to fellowship with her and reflect on the love that came together in her home! 

The team will be working on some unfinished painting, trim work, light switch covers, drywall patches, and a few other small projects.

Ms. Estela is a grandmother, retired since 2015, who lives with her daughter and granddaughter on a simple, peaceful property in the flood-affected area of Leander.  She identifies herself as being religious and participates in a lot of volunteer work.  Her daughter has also been a big part of helping out with flood recovery efforts in the area since last year.

Ms. Kathy is a sweet lady that loves to do things herself.  However, she often remarks about her frustration that her strength fails her when she wants to complete sometimes simple tasks that she used to take for granted.  

Cornerstone Restoration has been striving to show Ms. Kathy what love looks like when it originates from the body of believers and God himself.  We want to continue that outreach to her by doing some yard cleanup and small tasks outside the home that would give her peace and comfort.

Red Oak Hope is a non-profit ministry that provides transitional housing to survivors of sexual exploitation and human trafficking, while simultaneously providing holistic care to individuals already affected.  They are currently in need of some home leveling and plumbing improvements on one of their properties in Austin, TX.   

It is hard not to see God at work when volunteers serve another ministry in need, especially when the "why" behind the work is so loving and compassionate to the exceptionally vulnerable in our community!

Ms. Renita’s journey was once marked by deep loss, the heavy weight of grief, and overwhelming physical hardship.  However, through a divine connection with her church in Bertram, Ms. Renita and her son Melvin saw last year just how God works through faithful and loving volunteers!  

Volunteers repaired her home—restoring safety, stability, and dignity—but the Lord was also at work in her heart. As walls were rebuilt, so too was her faith, and she discovered a renewed bond with her local church family.  It was a BIG project in which God worked through volunteers from her church and from around the area to bring about remarkable redemption. 

Fast forward several months, and the CR team is going back to catch up with Ms. Renita and to repair a few additional things around her home - such as the back door and a faulty air conditioner unit.  

 You are surely to be amazed if you see 'before' photos and realize the incredible work that God does through His mobilized body of believers!  Won't you come join us to help this wonderful neighbor?

Ms. Brucha's story during the past several months is interwoven with volunteers serving on both the physical projects and the CR Care team.  She has recently faced multiple life events, tragedy, and problems with her family home.  The good news is that the Lord is obviously pursuing her as His provision, community, and love has rallied around her!  

 As a part of that calling, the CR team would like to address a few of the issues Ms. Brucha has with her exterior doors and some bathroom plumbing.  In addition to this, she is in urgent and imminent need of a new roof after the past few weeks of storms caused catastrophic roof failure with water entering at multiple points. 

We are actively seeking partners and donors to come alongside her to provide a full roof replacement.

Please consider joining us in prayer as we continue sharing the gospel with Ms. Brucha, and seek to meet some of her physical needs in this season of challenges. Come meet Ms. Brucha as we work to make her safer and more comfortable in her home!

Ms. Samm Gentry is a loving and prayerful grandmother that lives with her daughter, granddaughter, and great grandson.  While the inside of her home was not flooded during last year’s July floods, her home was surrounded by water.  Furthermore, the driveway was washed out, and their back deck was moved away from the house. 

While Ms. Samm tries to take wonderful care of her home, which is definitely filled with love, there are some things she just can't do.  We want to be a blessing for her and her family and make the access points of her home more safe and secure.  Ms. Samm and her family are in need of some carpentry work to help repair parts of the access ramp to her home and the back porch that were shifted around during last July’s floods. 

Please come out to show this wonderful family what the Love of Christ looks like in the hands and feet of His people!

The CR team continues to step into the very real stage of turning a vacant piece of the property into a community Soccer Field! 

The team got rained out the last time we had scheduled work on this project (... though we praise the Lord for the rain!), but we will go back on the 23rd to work to make the soccer field come together.  There are amazing ministry events and soccer workshops already planned for this space in the upcoming months, so we have to dig in and get it finished in a timely manner. To accomplish this, the team will work to make sure that the drainage is contoured, landscaping is moving along, and soccer goals are built -- preparing the space for children of this wonderful community to play.  

Praise God for providing the means to accomplish this amazing work to this point!  However, we do ask for continued prayers in the progress of this project as we continue to seek Partners to help provide the artificial turf that is needed!

Ms. Paula is the hard-working, loving Mom of one of Cornerstone's amazing Business Partners.  She has worked hard her whole life, including raising her children mostly as a single parent.  Now into retirement age, she continues to work hard to make ends meet.  However, the home where she raised her family was falling apart around her.  When you drove up, you see a cute home with a well-maintained yard, where it is evident that love lives; walk inside and you see the pride she takes in her home - the photos of her family and the feel love!  However, look more closely and you will see the walls have holes allowing the outside to come in, open the cabinets under the sink and view the backyard, many electrical outlets no longer work due to electrical fires caused simply by plugging something in.  Through the love of Christ, volunteers have come together to rebuild her home, making it safe for her, her children, and her grandchildren!

What began as a project to clean up around a home became a divine appointment to heal a heart.  Through this wonderful relationship, Sonia has found family, hope, and a renewed sense of God’s presence.  Her story is living proof that when the body of Christ steps in, homes are restored, hearts are healed, and hope is reborn!

Praise God for the recent rains!... but the CR team got rained out before we could finish the repairs on Ms. Diane's home in April.  

 Diane is a devoted sister-in-Christ that is constantly working for the Lord in many ways.  She is a devoted prayer warrior and spiritual leader that lets her light shine to all of those around her.  She has some needs on her home exterior that she can't manage, so we want to bless her with some much needed home maintenance items.  

 The CR team will work on some areas of rotted siding that need replacement.  You will surely find blessing in meeting her and unifying the body of Christ around her and her needs.  So, come out and support this wonderful new neighbor and show her that we are in this together... as the body of Christ! 

 Ms. Diane Wilson is a retired 82-year-old who faithfully serves the Women’s Fellowship class at her church in many ways from sending out the prayer requests to organizing a monthly get-together and also scheduling the weekly leader for the class. In addition to these things, she is a true prayer warrior and she models the love of Christ to those around her! Diane lives on a fixed income and has taken to doing various cleaning jobs to make ends meet.  In the past year, she has had some unexpected and fairly expensive home and auto repairs that were challenging. Additionally, another unexpected expense is coming up to repair something else on her vehicle.  With all of this, Diane was concerned about how she would be able to fix wood rot in the atrium of her home and a few other items around the house.  Though she tries to do many of the "handy" repairs around the home herself, some of these have now gone beyond her abilities.

As the CR team continues to build a relationship with Ms. Paula and meet some of her physical needs, we continue to see God working in what we are doing and also see the community around her noticing and starting to move -- Praise the Lord!

The CR team recently met a young, single mother and her 8-year-old son who live just down the street from Ms. Paula’s (a wonderful CR neighbor) out in Burnet, TX.  Dominique inherited her family home from her grandmother, but time has taken its toll on several areas of the house.  Over the last 10 years, Dominique has also been lovingly and selflessly helping to care for many family members in need -- 3 hospice patients that fell ill to cancer, her uncle who suffered from mental illness and was unable to keep employment, her younger sister, two cousins when they were unable to stay in their homes, and even providing spiritually, physically and financially for her beloved grandmother.  Currently, Dominique is taking care of her mother while she is on unpaid leave.  She is young and willfully determined but does not ask for assistance and never complains about anything – even donating her time and energy to several non-profit organizations.

The CR team continues to step into the very real stage of turning a vacant piece of the property into a community Soccer Field!  This is a big undertaking, that has required enthusiastic volunteer workers, community partners with heavy equipment, and knowledgeable advisors.  Praise God for providing the means to accomplish this wonderful work! 

We will focus on continuing to prepare the site and build a retaining wall - eventually leading to seeding the soil with grass seed, and field and goal construction.  Bring your gloves, old work clothes, and your love for fellowship! 

This is a BIG campaign that will require rental of heavy equipment and purchase of soccer goals, masonry materials, and fuel for the equipment, among other supplies.  Therefore, please prayerfully consider donating to meet our campaign goal of $4,500, as we step into this blessing that the Lord has provided for the residents of this wonderful community and for our faithful volunteers!

Ms. Diane Wilson is a retired 82-year-old who faithfully serves the Women’s Fellowship class at her church in many ways from sending out the prayer requests to organizing a monthly get-together and also scheduling the weekly leader for the class. In addition to these things, she is a true prayer warrior and she models the love of Christ to those around her!

Diane lives on a fixed income and has taken to doing various cleaning jobs to make ends meet.  In the past year, she has had some unexpected and fairly expensive home and auto repairs that were challenging. Additionally, another unexpected expense is coming up to repair something else on her vehicle.  With all of this, Diane was concerned about how she would be able to fix wood rot in the atrium of her home and a few other items around the house.  Though she tries to do many of the "handy" repairs around the home herself, some of these have now gone beyond her abilities. 

But then, the Lord stepped in and through a friend, Diane was referred to Cornerstone Restoration!

The CR team will be replacing siding outside the house and working on some other inside home repairs.

Let’s come out and support this wonderful new neighbor and show her that we are in this together... as the body of Christ!
